American Civil War / Student Free Choice

The American Civil war is also known as the war between States. The civil war started on 1861 and ended on 1865. It is a war between Confederant, southern US and Union, Northern US. The Unions were trying to abolish slavery in Northern US and the Confederants were in favor of slaveries. The Civil War started by the Confederants attacking Fort Sumter on April 1861. During the Civil War, the Confederants recruited a few more slave states. Confederants lost the war by giving up later on 1865, but President Lincoln was assisinated by one of the actors while he was watching the performance "Our American Cousins". The person was hanged later in that month after Lincoln was assassinated. Overall, I think that Confederants would still be here nowadays if they stayed in their place and fight in their place. Since, Southern US is more like an agricultural place and the Northern part is more like a city. Southern US also have slaves working on the field, so they have enough food to survive if they stayed in place. I was surprised that Civil War ended by slavery is still spread throughout some parts of US until the 21st century. Nowadays, slavery is like being paid very low wages and you have to pay back the money you earned for the rent of your house or apartment. Some might not even be able to pay the rent which is worse than slavery because they will have nowhere else to live in!
